Zoot Adds Third Data Center in Salt Lake City
New infrastructure provides greater geographic diversity, capacity for growing client base.
January 13, 2009
Bozeman, Mont– Zoot, a leading provider of advanced instant credit decisioning and loan origination solutions, announced the activation of a Tier 4 data center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
This is in response to a growing number of clients and the desire for broader geographic diversity. Zoot has a Tier 4 data center in Bozeman and a Tier 3 facility in Billings, Mont. The new location creates a broader connection to the telecommunications grid and provides a higher level of redundancies.
“Our distributed processing network approach allows us to dynamically move transactions between servers and data centers to maximize performance and improve reliability,” stated Tony Rosanova, chief technology officer at Zoot. “The addition of the Salt Lake City data center proves our commitment to continued quality improvement initiatives that benefit our clients.”
A Tier 4 data center is considered the most robust in the industry with the lowest possibility of failures. Tier 4 centers are designed to host mission critical servers and computer systems, with fully redundant subsystems (cooling, power, network links, storage, etc.) and compartmentalized security zones controlled by biometric access controls methods.
Zoot established the third center to enhance service to its clients by expanding its distributed processing approach while maintaining its high level of security. The Salt Lake facility meets all auditing requirements and adds greater distance between the company’s processing centers.
The company had the data center running in mid-December, 2008 and began processing live transactions on January 1, 2009.
